"De är inte mindre värda bara för att de böver stöd" : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om förskollärarens och specialpedagogens arbetssätt med inkludering och tillgänglighet för barn med funktionsnedsättningar

The purpose of the study was to investigate how preschool teachers and special education teachers work with the inclusion of children with disabilities. The purpose of the study was also to find out how educators work to make preschool accessible to these children. The study uses a qualitative method in the form of six semi-structured interviews with preschool teachers and special educators working at different preschools in Stockholm County. The interview questions were based on my research questions and I wanted to share the interviewees' personal opinions. Based on the interviewees' statements, the study's results showed that it is important to get to know the child's needs and conditions and thus adapt the teaching based on these aspects. The result also showed that there are obstacles in the inclusion work such as special classes and the educators' lack of knowledge about various disabilities. In addition, it is important to make preschool activities accessible to all children. The interviewees' statements showed that material and local shortages are an obstacle that makes work with accessibility more difficult. And it is important that there are sufficient educators who can be available to the children where they can receive more support and develop their continued learning
